2-Cool Promotions was established in January 2000 by myself (Matt Sims) and two other local DJ's (Wisey & J-S). At the time, we were all struggling to get DJ work, and like all up-and-coming DJ's, were desperate to promote our names around the area. Frustrated at the lack of promotion we were getting for ourselves as DJ's by the promoters we were working for, we decided that the only way to further our DJ careers was to promote ourselves, hence 2-Cool was formed.

After much discussion and persuasion with the managers of the local bars, we managed to get a one-off Thursday night at The Toad on Camberley High Street, and so we put on a UK Garage event called 'Future Generation'. The success of this one-off night led to it becoming fortnightly, which in turn led to securing several other nights at The Toad.

Undoubtedly the most successful of these has been ''Three Phase' on Tuesday nights, which has been running every Tuesday since November 2000. The success of this night is down to a combination of a varied music policy and good drinks promotions, therefore attracting several different crowds. As well as The Toad, we run a monthly UK Garage night at The Royal Oak in Yateley, and regularly guest at many of the area's other dance-music bars and clubs, including The Quays, Bar Mambo, The Drink, Bojanglez, Bar Med, Po Na Na's and The Matrix.

Most importantly of all though, we are not 'just in it for the money'. Being DJ's ourselves, we know how hard it is to try and make a name for yourself, and so we treat the DJ's that play for us as we would wish to be treated ourselves, something that most up-and-coming DJ's will know is not what many promotors do!
