of The
Streets - Original Pirate Material |

Mike
Skinner, the man behind the
single, Has It Come To This,
is releasing his debut album
on Monday 25th. Mike Skinner
(The Streets') chats consciousness
raps, with meaning. It's an
album that may been classed
as garage just by the title,
but when played, it skillfully
entwines the hip hop flavas
of 'the streets'. The track
'Same old thing' is absoultely
tough, rough, hectic, bouncy
and certificed BUBBLICIOUS,
it the msuic itself is like
roots dub, hip hop and garge
mixed up together to provide
you with something you'd never
think imaginable. The album
is not what you'd normally
expect. Mike Skinner has taken
everyday experiences from
palying playstation to getting
drunk, and compiled a lyrically
tastey album.With funky missing
beats, garage basslines, hip
hop flavas, and raggae roots
this album IS THE ALBUM OF
THE MONTH!

of Back 2 Mine - MJ Cole |

Well MJ
Cole is back again, with a wickedly designed cd cover,
just that alone would make me buy it, but people say
what's inside is what counts. This cd is absolutely
groovy, its chilled out and mellow, and has some surprising
tracks with smooth yet hectic bass lines. It includes
collections from Lee Curtis, Omar, Zero 7 and LTJ Bukem.
It's a must for this spring. Out 25th March 2002 - worth
every penny!!..

of Deca Dance: BASS IN YER
FACE! |

Triple
CD |
|
Out
soon |
|
This
is a triple cd pack containing old skool flavas and the
best basslines ever heard. CD 1 features the heart of
the growing Garage Pressure. Including tunes from So Solid
to Darqwan. CD 2 & 3 features tracks from LTJ Bukem, Origin
Unknown & The Dragon. It's an all right cd, but for me
if you've heard it once, you've heard it all before. Its
a bit typical, and very similar to the Addicted to BASS
cd. |
