Luckystrike: HOW LONG HAVE
YOU BEEN IN THE GARAGE SCENE?
Bigshot: I got responses
from demos from labels about Novemeber 2000,
my first release was in Spring 2001 on 4
Liberty Records. From there I was just working
on developing my production skills and sound.
Luckystrike:
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PRODUCING?
Bigshot: I've been making
tunes since 7 on my yamaha home keyboard
but got into cubase in 1998, so over 4 years
I've been producing seriously.
Luckystrike:
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INSPIRATION FROM?
Bigshot: Good music at
the end of the day. Not really specific
artists. I'm very diverse with my music.
Luckystrike:
ARE THERE ANY PRODUCERS AT THE MOMENT WHO
YOU RATE?
Bigshot: Neptunes, Darkchild,
Timbaland, MJ Cole, K Warren, Sunship and
Todd Edwards.
Luckystrike:
WAS IT HARD GETTING YOUR STUFF HEARD?
Bigshot: Not really. I
knew that if my stuff was up to scratch,
people would listen.
Luckystrike:
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE CURRENT UK GARAGE
SCENE?
Bigshot: I think it need's
a bit more variety. I'm all for grime, but
also wanna open people's minds about vocal
tracks.
I think they can both live together.
Luckystrike:
WHAT DJ'S, MC'S AND STATIONS DO YOU RATE?
Bigshot: DJ Slimzee, EZ
and for MC's, Donaeo, Wiley and Dizzy. I
rate Delight and Rinse FM.
Luckystrike:
WHAT OTHER TYPES OF MUSIC DO U LISTEN TO?
Bigshot: RnB, Hip Hop,
Pop, House, Drum and Bass, Trance...All
types of dance and urban music really.
Luckystrike:
IN THE STUDIO WHAT SOFTWARE DO YOU USE?
(DONT SAY FRUITY LOL)
Bigshot: Logic Audio Platinum

IS THERE ANY COLABIRATIONS IN THE PIPELINE?
Bigshot: A few in the pipeline...Some
well known Mcs on "Stomp" forthcoming
on Southside Recordings
Luckystrike:
FAVOURITE TUNE AT THE MOMENT, AND FAVOURITE
OF ALL TIME?
Bigshot: Donaeo's "Bounce"
is heavy, haven't got an all time fave though...too
many good tunes out there!
Luckystrike:
DO YOU THINK THE INTERNET FORUMS ARE A GOOD
THING?
Bigshot: Yes it is. People
get to express their feelings about whatever
they like.
Luckystrike:
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT 5
YEARS?
Bigshot: I'd like to get
involved in film scores and computer/tv
music...Expect to hear some kleenex adverts
with Big$hot backing tracks.
Luckystrike:
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM YOU IN THE NEAR
FUTURE?
Bigshot: 2003 will be the
start for me. I plan to release good quality
productions on a regular basis. Also expect
some collaborations with vocalist and musicians.
